Each year the Ballymoney Foodbank holds a number of food collections at Tesco’s to help sustain the demand on the Foodbank.
The collections are always well received, and as well as food donations, many give a cash donation. This collection past (Saturday 22nd June) was no exception, with almost 800 kg of food and over £550 raised as a result.
A spokesperson for the Foodbank as said;
“On behalf of Ballymoney Foodbank, the directors would like to say a huge ‘thank you’ to everyone who came down on Saturday and supported us with our collection.
We raised a massive £557.99 and collected an even bigger 789.60kgs of food. Your support and generosity have left us humbled and grateful.
Thank you.”
