Drumaheagles Young Defenders will be holding their annual parade this Saturday (August 15th), marked this year with a solo trip around route.
The parade will begin at 8pm and spectators are asked to ensure social distancing regulations are followed, and that no one follows the band.
The parade route is as follows:
North Road
Eastermeade Gardens
Charlotte Street
Main Street
Meeting House Street
Trinity Drive
John Street
Linenhall Street
High Street
Main Street
Meeting House Street Carpark
As well as announcing details of their parade on social media, the band also said:
“We have been granted a collection permit so we as a band have decided to collect for two worthy charities MACMILLAN and CHEST, HEART & STROKE. Committee members can be found in the town centre from 2pm to 5pm with collection boxes and a few marshals with collection boxes will follow the band whilst on route.
“The weather is looking favourable at the moment so we are putting on a BBQ from 6pm onwards at the Manor Hotel rear function room, please call down, enjoy the food and support the band.
“Social distancing rules and regulations must be adhered to at all times”
