Get ready to lace up your running shoes and join in on the excitement at the Ulster 5K and 1.5K Children’s Race! This fantastic event, taking place on Saturday 2 September 2023 at the Coleraine campus of Ulster University, is all in aid of the RAF Benevolent Fund.
Organized by the wonderful Julie Corbett, this event is designed for everyone, whether you’re a seasoned runner, a first-timer, or simply enjoy a leisurely walk with friends, family, or even your furry companions. There’s something for everyone to enjoy, and the best part? Thanks to the incredible generosity of our sponsors, there are random spot prizes up for grabs! Last year, nearly half of the participants walked away with a surprise prize, and this year, even the dogs get a chance to win something special. Don’t forget to snap a selfie with our lovable mascot, Ben Elephant, and soak up the fantastic atmosphere!
The children’s race will kick off the excitement at 1:30 pm, followed by the adults’ race at 2 pm. Registration will be open from 12 noon at the Sports Pavilion on the day of the event. The entry fees are £10 per adult and £5 per child (12 and under). Unfortunately, we can only accept cash payments, so make sure you come prepared.
To commemorate your participation, all entrants will receive a unique and specially designed medal. Not only that, but there will also be podium prizes for both men and women, as well as an abundance of spot prizes to keep the excitement going. We’ve got you covered on the refreshments front too, so you can refuel and recharge after the race.
