Naturally North Coast & Glens Artisan Market was delighted to be able to restart the Ballycastle Seafront Markets on Friday 14th August.
Naturally North Coast & Glens Artisan Market recently acquired the Industry Standard ‘Good to Go’ Mark, which means that the market has followed government and industry COVID-19 guidelines, they have a Risk Assessment in place, as do the traders, and have all implemented measures to maintain cleanliness and aid social distancing.
There are some changes to the market you’re used to visiting to ensure they can all follow the current guidance.
There are fewer stalls, no hot food and drink, plenty of space for social distancing, a natural flowing one way system and hand sanitizer points.
The market still have some of your favourite food producers, artists, crafters and you’ll still find a wide range of gifts and treats at every market.
They have also temporarily moved the August Markets to a friday, to avoid the busier Sundays, and will switch back to Sundays after the summer season is over.
A spokesperson for Naturally North Coast & Glens Artisan Market said:
“Our first market of 2020 was a great success, thanks to the staff, volunteers, and traders for delivering a great market, and to the support from visitors and local businesses.
“The market visitors welcomed the measures taken to ensure everyone could follow the guidelines, and everyone seemed to enjoy their visit to the market.
“Weather permitting we will be back at the seafront green on Friday 21st & 28th August from 11am – 5pm. The market would be busiest from 11am – 2pm, so if you’d like to avoid the busiest time we’d recommend visiting after 3pm.”
