URGENT recall of Iceland chicken products

Iceland Foods have issued an urgent recall of two chicken products due to the risk of salmonella contamination.

The company is recalling its own label Chip Shop Curry Chicken Breast Toppers and Southern Fried Chicken Popsters.

While the 400g Southern Fried Chicken Popsters affected have a best before date of April 4, 2021.

The 400g packet of Chicken Breast Toppers affected have the best before dates February 27, 2021, March 17, 2021 and April 8, 2021.

The company has said: “Iceland has issued a voluntary recall on two frozen chicken products due to the presence of salmonella.

“We are recalling these products as a precautionary measure and apologise for any convenience caused.
