Voice of Young People in Care Appeal For Help Spreading Christmas Cheer

VOYPIC, the charity for children and young people with experience of being in care in Northern Ireland, is asking for your help to spread some Christmas cheer among care experienced young people.

Each year the charity distributes gift bags and Christmas hampers to young people in care and young care leavers across Northern Ireland. After a difficult year for many, the organisation hopes to be able to provide gifts and food to more young people this Christmas.

Help is particularly needed in filling gift bags and hampers for older young people, 16-25 years old, who have left care and are living on their own.

Popular gifts include:
• Hats, Scarves & Gloves
• Stationery (eg. Pens, books, etc)
• Toiletries
• Homewares and decorations
• Foods (please make sure all foodstuffs are ‘longlife’)
• Sweet treats
• Gift cards

Gifts can be dropped off at the VOYPIC office at 6 Garfield Place, Ballymena. However due to current Covid-19 restrictions offices are not operating during our normal office hours.

Anyone wishing to make a donation is asked to call Lee Kane, VOYPIC Engagement Manager, on 07808777970 or email info@voypic.org to arrange a drop-off time or alternative collection.
Alternatively, monetary donations to the charity can be made online at www.voypic.org
