The Mayor of Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council is to open a Book of Condolence in memory of Pat Hume.

Members of the public will have the opportunity to leave their personal tributes at Sheskburn House in Ballycastle, Ballymoney Town Hall, Cloonavin in Coleraine and the Connell Street offices in Limavady from Wednesday 8th September until Thursday 30th September.

An online book will also be available.

Reflecting on her life and legacy, Councillor Richard Holmes said: “Pat lived a life filled with compassion and kindness, and together with her husband John she was dedicated to the pursuit of peace.

“Her unwavering support for John, throughout his long political career and beyond, was clear to see, and their collective contribution will never be forgotten.

“The tributes paid since her passing are wholly deserved, both in her home city, across Ireland and around the world. Pat’s death will be most keenly felt by her family and close friends, and they should take great comfort from the love and admiration expressed in recent days.

“The Book of Condolence will allow members of the public to share their own thoughts and memories of Pat and express their sympathies at this very sad time.”
