A man described as having an ‘unhappy driving’ record by a District Judge, has been charged with driving without due care and attention after an accident involving a transit van.

Defendant Hubert Lynch (20) of Causeway Road Bushmills, was charged with the offence following a two-vehicle collision at the junction of Ballinlea Road with Moyarget Road.

Coleraine Magistrates’ Court, sitting at Ballymena on November 13, heard that defendant had stopped the tractor he was driving at the give way sign before pulling out in front of a transit van and causing the collision.
