The Education Minister, Peter Weir, is set to announced that schools in Northern Ireland are to close due to the Coronavirus situation.
BBC say sources in the Northern Ireland executive have said Schools will close from today with immediate effect.
UPDATE & CORRECTION : First Minister issues statement that Schools will close from Monday 23rd March. (Some schools are however closed from today).
This follows the announcement that schools in Scotland & Wales and now England will close from Friday.
Teachers will work to prepare teaching material for children at home where possible.
