Speaking to FUSE FM Ballymoney, Alderman John Finlay had expressed his deep shock at the sudden death of William Dunlop in a tragic accident at the Skerries 100 road races in County Dublin.
Alderman Finlay said;

“I am shocked and numbed to learn of the tragic death of Ballymoney motor cyclist William Dunlop in an accident at the Skerries road races. The name Dunlop is synonymous with motor cycling in North Antrim and now, tragically, another member of this famous racing family has been taken from us at the age of 32. William’s death comes just over a decade after his father Robert was killed, and the tragedy is compounded by the fact that his wife is expecting their second child. My prayers and sympathy are with the whole family circle and the motor cycling fraternity as they come to terms with this terrible tragedy.”
