Detectives are appealing for witnesses following an incident in the Waterside Street area of Coleraine on Tuesday 26 May.
At around 4.45pm a 45 year old man was discovered in the area with a serious injury to his hand and was taken to hospital for treatment. Police are working to establish the circumstances of the incident and determine whether he was the victim of an assault.
Detectives are appealing for anyone who was in the Waterside Street area of the town between 2pm and 4.45pm and who may have dash cam footage or anyone who witnessed any form of altercation on Waterside Street or anyone with any information that can assist with the investigation to contact detectives in Coleraine on 101 quoting reference 1386 26/05/20. Information can also be passed to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime.
