The Armoy Road Races is to be screened by BBC NI as part of their continued coverage of road racing here, presented by Stephen Watson.
Last year was the 10th anniversary of the Armoy Road Races and BBC NI had planned to screen highlights, but unfortunatly only one race was ran due to weather, and eventually the races were called off for safety reasons.
Instead the BBC showed a special tribute programme to William Dunlop who lost his life at the Skerries 100 a few weeks before.
This year however, over both the Friday and Saturday, all 12 races were ran and completed with local Ballymoney rider Michael Dunlop winning the final ‘Race of Legends’ for the 8th time.
BBC NI will have a full highlights programme on Monday 5th August at 10.35pm.
