Two 19th century structures at the popular tourist spot Ballintoy Harbour have been given listed status.
The Historic Environment Division, Department for Communities has recently listed the two structures at The harbour.
Both coastguard boathouse and a pair of industrial lime kilns have received the special listed status,
The harbour have received a tourist boost in recent years due to being one of the filming locations for popular series, Game of Thrones.
The two buildings are constructed of rubble stone and are prominent features on the harbour and have been described As, ‘significant remnants of Maritime and Industrial Heritage on the North East Antrim coast.’
