Rescue helicopter R199 arrived in Belfast this afternoon after airlifting a fallen person at Fairhead Ballycastle.
The casualty was taken to Royal Victoria Hospital (RVH) in Belfast.
Ballycastle and Coleraine Coastguard rescue teams dealt with the rescue at Fairhead when they requested the assistance of their colleagues from Prestwick to airlift the casualty to RVH.
The extent of the person’s injuries is unknown at this stage. NIAS were also in attendance at the scene of the incident.
