Local Councillor, Ivor Wallace, has met with the PSNI to tackle the ongoing antisocial behaviour problems within the surrounding areas of Riverside Park.

This long term issue has resulted in numerous complaints from local residents of youths gathering around the train station area and within Riverside park, with reports of loud noise and underage drinking made to police.

In a social media post earlier today, Ballymoney Councillor Ivor Wallace wrote: “Today I met with the PSNI about the anti social behaviour around the station/bridge/Riverside Park area of the town.

“We have agreed a plan of action which includes a special operation through the week and at the weekends when the area will be patrolled from early evening until after midnight.

“Hopefully this behaviour can be nipped in the bud before it escalates any further.”
