Work is now completed on a new set of unstaffed fuel pumps on the Knock Road in Ballymoney after finalising planning permission earlier this year.
Permission had previously been granted in October last year for the unmanned Petrol Filling Station comprising Forecourt with Associated Fuel Pumps and Islands, Canopy, Small Ancillary Building and Site Works at the end of last year.
This year final planning permission was submitted and granted to construct a proposed canopy and totem signage.
The applicant Nicholl Oils will operate the unstaffed site, which will give drivers access to fuel 24 hours a day, payable by card.
It will become the first fuel station of its kind in Ballymoney. Nicholl Oils recently opened a similar filling station in Coleraine.
Nicholl Oils has grown to become Northern Ireland’s largest independent oil distributor, with these new fuel sites adding another arm to their business.
