Police have warned today of a cold caller scam targeting local business owners.
“Police are receiving reports of a male with an English accent claiming to be from Law enforcement agency, ringing local businesses stating they owe money and that If this is not paid he states that persons will attend and remove items to the value of debt owed.”
They are advising business owners:
“not engage with these callers, do not confirm any details and do not give out bank details.”
