Sad news this morning as a body has been recovered following the large multi-agency search overnight for a missing person in Portrush.
In a post on Facebook, the PSNI said: “Thank you for all your assistance and comments regarding our missing person. Sadly, we can confirm that a body was recovered in the Portrush area.
“A post mortem will be carried out in due course however the death is not being treated as suspicious at this time.”
Formal identification is due to take place, but at this time the body is believed to be that of the missing person.
