Boxer carl Frampton visits Ballymoney Black Santa Liam Beckett

It wouldn’t be Christmas in Ballymoney without Liam Becketts Black Santa sitout in Ballymoney, raising money each year for local charties. Each year two weeks pior to Christmas, Liam set up his hut and collection can at the Diamond and braves the weather, and this year was no exception.As well as the genorisity of the locals, Liam is supported by his friends from the world of media, entertainment and sports who either donate to his charities or pop along to support him for a couple of hours.

This year Liam was joined by NI boxer Carl Frampton who helped bring in the pounds and raise his donations on the last day of his collection. Of course the crown were there to welcome the sporting hero to the town.

Asked why he choose to help support Liam this year Carl said;

“I think what he does if fantastic, raising money for charity. i think it’s his 10th year which is brillant and when he asked me  I was only to happy to help.”
