Police are appealing for information following the reports of burglaries in the Coleraine and Ballykelly areas on Tuesday 10 September.
Detective Inspector Peter McKenna reported
“Sometime between 10am and 11.15am, it was reported that entry was gained to a property in the Greenmount Park area and subsequently, a safe containing a sum of money and jewellery was taken.
“A further report was received that between 7am and 6pm, a property in the Station Road area was broken into with forced entry and a safe was also taken from this property.
“We are working to establish if there are any links between the two incidents and we are appealing for anyone in the area during these times with information to come forward.
“Enquiries are continuing and I would appeal to anyone who witnessed anything suspicious in the area at the time mentioned to contact police on 101, quoting reference numbers 602 10/09/19 and 1596 10/09/19.”
Alternatively, information also can be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime.”
