The Ballycastle and Coleraine coastguard have revealed that on Friday (February 22nd), they were called out to two separate incidents.
Firstly at around 2:32pm a call was made for assistance to the coastguard to attend Balintoy where a walker along the costal path had fallen and injured their leg.
The injured person was stretched out by the team to a waiting ambulance for transportation to hospital for treatment.
The second call for assistance came shortly after at 5:06pm for the Coleraine team to attend a ‘female at risk’ near a cliff. Thankfully on this occasion the PSNI had taken the female in question into their care soon after the alert was raised.
