Police have said a barbershop shop located on Victoria Street Ballymoney, was the target of criminal damage late Thursday evening.
All three of the shop windows were smashed at Brokode Barbers, leaving the owners to clear up the damage late into the evening.
As a temporary measure the owners were forced to cover the windows and secure the premises overnight with plastic wrap.
It’s is not known at this time if anything was stolen from the shop BUT no other damages appears to have been caused to neighbouring premises on the street.
Police are appealing for information and witnesses to come forward, with Sergeant Halligan saying:
“Shortly before 9.30pm on Thursday, 23 January police received a report that three windows had been broken.
“I would appeal to anyone who witnessed this incident or anyone who has information that could assist police with their enquiries, to contact Coleraine PSNI Station on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference 1831 23/01/20.
“Alternatively, information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
