Fire service attend Portstewart oil tank fire

NIFRS have been attending an incident in the Inishowen Park area of Portstewart.

Emergency services were called to the scene shortly before 6am. It is understood that five appliances attended along with the PSNI.

A nearby resident said “I woke just before six to the sound of water being sprayed then an explosion, the pressure wave rattled my windows, must have been an oil tank. This is the second major house fire in 48 hours in relative close proximity”
