A routine stop as part of the Police operation ‘Seasons Greetings Campaign’, has resulted in the discovery of a ‘Firearm.
Coleraine NPT were carrying out the stop when the item was discovered. A police spokesperson has since released an update.
“As a result of what we expected to be a straightforward stop a Firearm was discovered. As a result follow up searches were carried out in the Curragh Road area of Coleraine by Coleraine NPT, TSG and Stevie from our PSNI Dog Section and who brought his faithful friend Police Dog Jonno.
“Jonno did what he does best and assisted everyone searching the area…especially those areas we humans can’t reach!”
