Fixed penalties issued after traffic breaches at Riverside Retail Park

The reopening of eating establishments at the Riverside retail park, has caused some traffic disruptions, including breaches of the Highway Code.

Several fixed penalties have been issued to drivers in relation to a box junction.

A police spokesperson has said: “The entrance into the restaurants at the Riverside Retail Park, Coleraine has a clearly painted yellow box junction in place. Breach of this is an offence and can be dealt with by fixed penalty notices.

“Today 4 drivers were issued with fixed penalty notices for breaching this box junction. Please have consideration for other road users by keeping this junction clear.

“Don’t make your meal more expensive by getting a fixed penalty!”
