Former ‘It’ll be alright on the night’ host dies

Denis Norden, TV host and comedian best know for the TV outtake shows, It’ll be alright on the night, has died aged 96.

For several weeks Mr Norden had been in London’s Royal Free Hospital. A statement from his son and daughter reads;

“We would like to thank all the dedicated staff and doctors who have looked after him – with much devotion.

A wonderful dad, a loving grandfather and great great-grandfather – he gave his laughter-mongering to so many.

He will be in our hearts forever,” the statement added.”

Mr Norden had presented the TV clip show since 1997 up until 2006 when he retired aged 84.
