UPDATE: It’s now understood from NIAS that only two of those involved in the RTC required further assessment at Causeway Hospital.
Following a two vehicle RTC this evening on the Portrush Road, Portstewart, five two individuals have been transferred to Causeway Hospital.
The collision involving four adults and a child was reported to NIFRS just after 7 pm this evening.
A spokesperson for the NIFRS confirmed appliances from Coleraine, Portrush and Portstewart attended the incident, alongside colleagues from NIAS and Police.
The vehicle’s occupants were initially treated at the scene by NIAS before being transferred to Causeway Hospital as a precaution.
Their condition is unknown at this time, but injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
