Councillor John McAuley recently raised issues with the current state of the Knock road which needed addressing.
Providing an update Cllr McAuley said;
“Following my recent requests to DFI, I am happy to see some movement on the resurfacing of the Knock Road, Dervock
Having identified several sections of this road, from Drumdult Park to Castlecatt Road, it has been confirmed that they been incorporated into their plans/ resurfacing schemes.
Unfortunately they are unable to provide an indicative timescale for any of these schemes and have stated that they will only be progressed when resources permit.
That being said they have recognised the complaints of my constituents and have asked that this road to be prioritised for asphalt patching works which should significantly improve the road condition in the interim period.”
