Leaney Primary School confirm several positive COVID-19 cases

The Leaney Primary School have confirmed that several children have been reported as testing positive for COVID-19, advising parents with children in those particular classes ‘NOT’ to attend school on Monday.

In a notice to parents on social media, the school said the classes affected are;

  • Year 2 Mrs Ewing
  • Year 2/3 Miss Campbell/Mr Moore
  • Year 6 Mr Rankin

The post went on to advise: “Children in these classes should isolate from now.

“They should NOT attend school tomorrow. Parents will receive a letter via See Saw / email once we have been given dates for isolation from PHA. Please read the letter carefully and follow all instructions in it.”

The school have also said: “(The School) have been asked by PHA to advise that a lateral flow test is not appropriate for people with symptoms or those asked to test as close contacts.
