A man who is accused of assaulting a Nurse at Causeway Hospital has his case adjourned while a pre-sentencing report is prepared.
At a sitting of Coleraine Magistrates Court on October 16, John Farren with an address listed as 23 Ard Na Smoll in Dungiven, is accused of being disorderly at Causeway Hospital on October 12 last year and whilst there assaulted a Nurse.
A Prosecutor said that the defendant “threw a file at the Nurse which left a red mark on her side“.
District Judge Peter King said that the defendant “is in danger of at very least a suspended sentence” and ordered a pre-sentence report.
The case is adjourned until November 20.
