Police received two reports of a male trying to pass items that he had lifted from the shops shelves for refunds in two different retail premises.
A quick call to the town centre CCTV team and we discovered the male was currently in another shop on Church Street.
Officers called in and found the male in the process of asking for a refund for items he had just lifted from the shelf.
Unbeknownst to him the Department of Justice had revoked his licence and his little crime spree had now drawn our attention to him.
The male was arrested, interviewed and charged for the thefts and is now awaiting transport to Magheraberry to serve the remainder of his 8 month sentence.
