Man set to contest Portrush disorder charge

A Balnamore man is to set to contest charges relating to alleged disorderly behaviour in a public place – Kelly’s in Portrush.

Andrew Davenport (27), of Ballynacree Drive, is also accused of assaulting two police officers and resisting one of them in the execution of their duty on the same date – December 22 last year.

The case was mentioned at Coleraine Magistrates Court on Friday where the defence lawyer was barrister Francis Rafferty.

The case has been adjourned to late September.
