A man has been shot in the Co-Antrim village of Mosside this evening.
Police responded to reports of shots being fired at an address in the Mosside Gardens area in Mosside Village near Ballymoney on Monday evening.
It is belived a man is in a serious condition after he was shot.
A police spokesperson has said: “Police are currently at the scene of a shooting in the Mosside Gardens area outside Ballymoney this evening Monday 22 February 2021.
“Just after 7.30pm police received a report that a man had been shot at a residential property. He has been taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries.
“An investigation is now underway. Anyone who witnessed this incident or anyone with information about it is asked to call detectives on 101 quoting reference number 1841 of 22/02/21.”

Sinn Féin MLA Philip McGuigan has condemned a shooting incident in Mosside village, saying:
“I condemn totally this shooting in moss-side and my thoughts are with the victim.
“This obviously isn’t an isolated incident. In fact the frequency of this type of shooting incident across a small geographical area of North Antrim and East Derry is extremely disturbing.
“The PSNi need to get to grips with this situation and catch the thugs responsible.”
