McDonald’s Coleraine has fallen foul of a store-wide shortage of Chicken Selects which has hit the fast-food franchise this week.
Over the previous week, a number of stores throughout the country have ran out of the popular menu item, with many loyal customers taking to social media to complain.
Customers this evening who logon to the McDonald’s app to place an order for pickup or delivery from the Coleraine store, will be presented with a ‘temporarily unavailable’ message.
A spokesperson for the fast-food chain confirmed this news, saying: “Unfortunately we have a temporary shortage of Chicken Selects and our restaurants may run out this week.
“We are working incredibly hard to get this popular menu item back on sale in our restaurants.
“We know some customers will be disappointed to hear this news, and we would like to apologise for the short term inconvenience.”
