A Notice of Motion proposed by Independent Councillor Padraig McShane and seconded by Independent Councillor Stephanie Quigley will come before the full meeting of Causeway Coast and Glens Council on Tuesday evening.

The motion states that: “That no sales or long term leases of any land or property assets be considered or acted upon until the conclusion of the extraordinary audit into land and asset disposals at Causeway Coast and Glens Council.

“That further consideration is given to land asset disposals after the audit report and the potential legal actions arising from the same are considered by the full council.”

A legal opinion in the matter of a call in request in respect of a decision of the council dated January 4, 2022 will be held on the same evening although this will be heard ‘in committee’.
