Detectives in Coleraine carried out a number of planned searches of houses in the Heights area today, Wednesday, 17 October, as part of ongoing investigations into the use and supply of drugs. A quantity of suspected herbal cannabis and scales were seized.
Detective Inspector Bob Blemmings said: “Tackling the illegal sale and use of drugs is a priority for police and I welcome the recovery of this suspected cannabis today. Seizures such as this demonstrate our ongoing commitment to tackling the scourge of drugs in our society.
“I continue to appeal to members of the public to come forward with any information about the supply or use of illegal drugs. Anyone with any information can call police on 101. Alternatively, information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, which gives people the power to speak up and stop crime.”
