There is currently an ongoing multi-agency search for a missing high-risk individual along the North Coast this evening.
The search in the Portrush area involves around 40 volunteer Community Rescue search technicians, HM Coastguard Teams from Coleraine & Ballycastle along with the all-weather and inshore lifeboat are involved in the search.
Police have said:
“Police are becoming increasingly concerned for the welfare of Edwina Beattie who was last seen in the Ballymoney area around 0800 hours but is likely in the Portrush area presently.
Edwina is described as female, 5ft 4”, slim, long brown hair, wearing a black coat, shirt and black tights. Edwina was also driving a White Citron C1 in the Portrush area. If anyone has information surrounding her whereabouts please contact Police immediately on 101 quoting serial 1734 of 11/05/21.”
