Police are investigating a report of criminal damage caused to a vehicle in Portrush on Thursday (13th February).
Sergeant Clare Sweeney:
“We received a report at around 2:25pm that a grey-coloured Skoda parked on Eglinton Street had its windscreen damaged sometime between 10am and 1:45pm that afternoon.
“Enquiries into this incident, which is being treated as a hate crime, are underway to establish what occurred and I would appeal to anyone who was in the area and saw what happened to get in touch with us.
“I would also appeal to drivers who may have been on the road at the time and have a dash cam to check their footage.
“Anyone with information is asked to call us on 101, quoting reference number 983 of 12/02/20. Alternatively, call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
