Police are appealing for information following a report of burglary at business premises at the Anne Street area of Ballycastle on Saturday 25th April.

Inspector Moore said: At around 12pm, it was reported that entry was gained to a pharmacy in the area. It is believed that a quantity of prescription drugs were taken from the premises, with no damage reported during the incident.

“One man described as being 5”9 in height, grey hair and wearing dark framed glasses, a striped shirt and trousers was seen at the rear of the property at the time of the incident. We believe this male can assist police with our enquiries.

“We would to appeal to businesses to continue to make sure their properties are locked and secured during this time. Please ensure that all doors and windows are secured and if you do have CCTV systems, ensure they are working properly.

Our enquiries are continuing and we would appeal to anyone who witnessed anything suspicious in the area to contact police on 101, quoting reference number 792 25/04/20. Alternatively, information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime.”
