SF condemns recent spate of burglaries in Ballycastle

Ballycastle Sinn Féin Councillor, Cara McShane, has appealed for people to be more vigilant and look out for elderly and vulnerable neighbours in the wake of a spate of burglaries in the town.

Cllr McShane said:

“I have been contacted by a number of residents expressing concern regarding the number of incidents which have happened in recent days in Ballycastle, with individuals gaining access to people’s homes and ransacking properties.
“These attacks are vile and appear to be indiscriminate. Those responsible need to be stopped and brought to justice.

“I cannot advise strongly enough the need for residents to ensure that all doors and windows are before leaving your home. We all have a responsibility to ensure our own safety as well as looking out for our neighbours.

“Anyone who notices any suspicious activity or who has any information on the recent series of burglaries should contact the PSNI immediately.”
