Ten WW2 veterans across borough to receive a Silver Poppy

Last year Causeway Coast & Glens Borough Council called for information about World War Two veterans who are from the Borough.

Council agreed in September to present Silver Poppies to surviving veterans of WWII, following a motion tabled originally by Councillor McLean, seconded by Councillor McAuley,

According to Causeway Coast Community, a special reception and presentation of the silver poppies will be held on Monday 4th May in Cloonavin to coincide with the 75th anniversary of VE Day on Friday 8th May.

Council have identified ten veterans who are eligible for a Silver Poppy in conjunction with the Royal British Legions.
