Two arrested in Armoy area, after failing to stop for police

Police have made two arrest in the Armoy area following a car pursuit earlier today.

The pursuit began following the detection of a speeding vehicle on the Frosses road, which then failed to stop for officers.

A spokesperson for the police said:

“Road Policing patrols from Maydown helped to bring a pursuit to a close today when we detected a speeding driver on the Frosses Road who then refused to stop.

“With the help of our Dog Handler, Air Support and local Police, two arrests were made in the Armoy area and enquiries are continuing. Unfortunately, one of our Road Policing patrol cars sustained a bit of damage!
