North Antrim MLA, Mervyn Storey, has expressed his sympathies to both the victim’s families: “Sadly more families have been given the devastating news that their loved one’s life has been taken following a fatal road traffic accident this evening.

“I would extend my sympathy to the families of those who lost their life as a result of the accident on the Moyarget Road and our thoughts are with those who have been injured.

“Obviously a full investigation will be carried out to establish the circumstances surrounding this tragic accident.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with these families at this time of great sadness.

“We again are indebted to the response of our emergency services who attended this accident, the Air Ambulance, PSNI, Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service and the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service.”

Our sympathies are with both families at this time.
