Ulster Scots Cook Paula McIntyre on Queens Birthday Honours list

Paula McIntyre, Northern Ireland cook, chef and friend of FUSE FM Ballymoney, has been honoured in the Queens Birthday Honours list.
Paula has been awarded an MBE For services to food, drink and the hospitality sector in Northern Ireland.

Speaking to media earlier paula said;

“It was miracle that i kept it a secret from her family. I only told them the other night and they were over the moon. My mum and dad were quite reserved, but a couple of my friends were crying.”

Paula is known for her love of local food and has appeared on TV and Radio many times championing local N.I. Produce. She even appeared in the popular national BBC cooking programme, ‘Ready Steady Cook’.
Paula is the resident Cook on BBC Radio Ulster’s John Toal Show on Saturday mornings but will be appearing at Saturdays Bushmills Salmon & Whiskey festival.

“I am working this weekend at the Bushmills Salmon and Whiskey festival, so I will be disappointed if someone doesn’t come down for a toast.”
