Causeway Coast and Glens Ulster Unionist Party have issued a statement following the release of the extraordinary audit findings, which found severe failings surrounding several of the council’s land deals.
“The Ulster Unionist Party Group on Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council views the NI Audit Office Special Report with the utmost seriousness.
“This is a detailed report which needs close scrutiny and careful analysis. We believe the report should be tabled at a Special Meeting of the Council to allow the NI Audit Office to present the report and answer questions.
“Thereafter Council must take whatever action is deemed to appropriate.”
