Upcoming movie ‘The Northman’ village set as filming restarts

A set which is to be used as part of the upcoming film ‘The Northman’ has appeared in the Antrim Hills.

The set has sprung to life again, as production is due to begin on the movie following work and filming being halted due to the pandemic.

Pictures had emerged prior to lockdown at a location on Torr Head but this set of dwellings have been constructed on the Antrim Hill near Larne.

Filming has also recommenced on a set at Torr Head bear Ballycastle. The set is currently set up as a winter scene, fake snow and all.

The Northman film when complete will star among others, Hollywood Actress Nicole Kidman.
