Arson at takeaway on Railway Road, Coleraine.

Coleraine police are investigating an arson at the back of a take away restaurant on Railway Road, Coleraine in the early hours on Sunday morning (14 June).

Inspector Donna Bowden said: “Bins belonging to the restaurant were set alight. The Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service attended the scene but no one was injured as a result of the blaze.

“Police are treating this incident as a hate crime and are appealing for information from anyone who knows anything about the arson. Please call Coleraine police on the non-emergency number 101 if you can assist the investigation, or contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
