Cllr Wilson goes ‘above and beyond’

Local Ballymoney Councillor, Darryl Wilson, yesterday when above and beyond the call of duty when he turned up at the play park in the Glebeside estate to personaly clear up broken glass that was still there three days after the 11th July festivities and bonfire.

It was as a result of a small wean cutting them selves on broken glass at the park that prompted Cllr Wilson to ring the council about the matter only to be told they would have to wait till today (wednesday) to have it cleared. Not able to settle, Wilson lifted his brush and set off for the  Glebeside estate and cleared the glass himself.

Local residents took to social media and the news soon become viral within the estate and around the town.
