Young fellas Johnny Black, 19, and 26-year-old Robin Wilson died after the head-on crash on the Cushendall Road.

The teenage girl who was left clinging to her life in the car smash which killed two of her friends is a walking miracle, her family has said.

Johnny Black, 19, and 26-year-old Robin Wilson died after the head-on horror crash in the early hours of the morning on the Cushendall Road near Ballycastle, Co Antrim.

The incident, involving a Peugeot 207 and a Volkswagen Bora, happened just before 4am on Easter Monday.

Clodagh Arbuckle, 18, was the passenger in one of the other cars involved. She was left with horrific injuries and given just a 30% chance of survival.

But her family has said she is slowly recovering having initially not recognised her loved ones when she came round after two weeks in a coma.

Clodaghs family have praised young fella Johnny Black, who they believe saved their daughter’s life by his quick reactions on the night of the crash.

Clodagh – who dreams of becoming a special needs teacher – has no memory of the smash which killed the young men and left three others injured.
