Golden Handshakes of almost £2m given to ex-councillors

Almost £2m were handed out to Councillors across NI who stood down from politics as part of the local goverment reforms. % of these councillors were handed the highest possible payments of £35,000.

One of these was Ballymoney Councillor Harry Connolly after serving 42 years in council.
